Gambaran Pelaksanaan Prinsip Patient-Centered Care Pada Pelayanan Pasien Gagal Ginjal yang Menjalani Terapi Cuci Darah di Unit Hemodialisa RSUP Prof I.G.N.G Ngoerah Tahun 2026

Pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis seumur hidup menyebabkan berbagai permasalahan seperti beban gejala, ketergantungan terhadap terapi, serta penurunan kualitas hidup. Pasien yang menjalani HD memerlukan pelayanan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek klinis, tetapi juga berorientasi pada kebutuhan, preferensi, dan keterlibatan pasien melalui penerapan patient-centered care. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan prinsip Patient-Centered Care pada pelayanan pasien gagal ginjal yang menjalani terapi cuci darah di Unit Hemodialisa RSUP Prof I.G.N.G Ngoerah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 146 pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis dan dipilih menggunakan teknik convinience sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner karakteristik responden dan instrumen Patient-Centered Care yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian didapatkan karakteristik responden menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar berusia 56–65 tahun sebanyak 86 orang (58,9%), berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 95 orang (65,1%), memiliki tingkat pendidikan SMA, dan telah menjalani terapi hemodialisis lebih dari enam bulan sebanyak 128 orang (87,7%). Pelaksanaan prinsip patient-centered care sebagian besar berada pada kategori tinggi, yaitu sebanyak 85 responden (58,3%). Implementasi patient-centered care meningkatkan keterlibatan pasien dalam proses perawatan. Memperkuat implementasi patient-centered care melalui peningkatan komunikasi, edukasi, dan keterlibatan pasien dalam setiap proses pelayanan guna meningkatkan mutu pelayanan dan kepuasan pasien.

Patients with chronic kidney disease who undergo lifelong hemodialysis face various challenges, such as the burden of symptoms, dependence on therapy, and a reduced quality of life. Patients undergoing HD require care that not only focuses on clinical aspects but is also oriented toward their needs, preferences, and involvement through the implementation of patient-centered care. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of patient-centered care principles in the care of patients with kidney failure undergoing dialysis at the Hemodialysis Unit of Prof. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. The research method used was quantitative descriptive research. The study sample consisted of 146 patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis, selected using convinience sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire on respondent characteristics and the Patient-Centered Care instrument, both of which had passed validity and reliability tests. Data analysis was performed using descriptive methods. The results of the study showed that the characteristics respondents showed that the majority were aged 56–65 years (86 people, or 58.9%), 95 were female (65.1%), had a high school education, and 128 had been undergoing hemodialysis for more than six months (87.7%). The implementation of patient-centered care principles was mostly in the high category, involving 85 respondents (58.3%). The implementation of patient-centered care increases patient involvement in the care process. Strengthening the implementation of patient-centered care through improved communication, education, and patient involvement in every service process will enhance service quality and patient satisfaction.
